Through its charity arm, the Branding Education Charity Foundation, the association set out to Rumah Amal Limpahan Kasih (RALK) in Puchong this time around, to help the home prepare for their upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
Among the donations to RALK include grocery items, home necessities as well as electrical goods worth a total of RM10,000 while each of the centre’s children also received duit raya for the occasion from non-member organisation Lions Club Bukit Kiara.
Additionally, some members of MRCA such as Hap Seng Star, Transtel Technology, 99 Speedmart and DR Group Holdings as well as non-members like Amoy Canning came up with extra contributions to help them with their daily needs.
“We believe in sharing the blessings we have received as an association with the communities that need it.
“That’s why we hope that with our visit and the small gesture of goodwill, we can give some happiness to the children, so they do not feel neglected by society,” said MRCA president Datuk Garry Chua.
“We also want to set an example to encourage other organisations to come forward with such initiatives to help the underprivileged,” he added.

RALK full-time volunteer Rahmah Md Thahir said the centre is fortunate to have met with MRCA which extended their support to help the children.
“We hope to be able to help nurture them into responsible adults with the potential to continue fighting for our cause.”
Rahmah said RALK houses 120 children, about 80 girls live in the hostel, while the boys live in a separate facility in Serdang.
Girls from ages eight to 16 study at the learning centre according to government syllabus, while the older boys go to the centre for vocational training.
The centre cares for orphaned children and children from poor families, as well as single mothers.
RALK can be reached through its office at 03-80618050 or 03-80523814. For details, visit rumahamallimpahankasih.org.
